Charles
Eversole, Performing Chorus Music Director,
(alumnus) graduated from the Singing Angels in
1982 and was Assistant Vocal Director of the Training Chorus from
1983-1986. Before returning to the Singing Angels in 2001, he
served as musical director for over 40 productions, including national
tours of The Who's Tommy and A Grand Night for Singing.
He holds vocal music degrees from the University of Michigan and
Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music and is a former faculty member at
New York University and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Other recent
conducting credits include two seasons with Lyric Opera Cleveland.
Charles is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the
Ohio Music Education Association. Charles is also the Music Director of
the Cleveland Cabaret Project, an organization dedicated to the
advancement of cabaret performance in and around Cleveland. |

Barbara Sterbank,
Performing Chorus Assistant Music Director, received her music education
from Alverno College, Ursuline College, Cleveland State University, and Kent State
University. She has been the Vocal Music Director at Brunswick
High School and Brush High School for 15 years as well as Chairperson of
the Vocal Music Department for South Euclid-Lyndhurst Schools.
Retired in 2005, Ms. Sterbank devotes her time to helping young people
reach their potential by adjudicating, coaching, directing and
.accompanying. |

Heather
Liuzzo, Training Chorus Music Director
(alumna), returned to the Singing Angels in 1997.
She has been a music educator since 1989. She is a graduate of
Heidelberg College with degrees in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy.
She teaches general music, Spanish, and choir and directs the Spring
Musical at Immaculate Conception School in Willoughby. She
also teaches private voice and piano. Heather was a member of The
Singing Angels for five years and was thrilled to tour with them to England, Wales, Mexico, China, and Japan.
She is the mother of three boys and has the greatest husband in the
world. |

Jim Fair,
Training Chorus Assistant Music
Director, has been with the
Singing Angels since 1998. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent
State University with a degree in Music Education. Currently, he
teaches Elementary Music for the Richmond Heights School
District. Jim has worked in community theatre music directing "Into
the Woods," "Jacques Brel," and performing in various other
shows. |

James J. Balaguer,
Volunteer Director of Barbershop Music: Jim’s love of barbershop
harmony, which began as an 8th grade student singing bass in a quartet,
has given him years of pleasure and enjoyment. With over 35 years as
a volunteer director of barbershop music for The Singing Angels, he has
enjoyed the opportunity to work with the gifted young people that make
up the chorus. One highlight of Jim’s years with the Angels has been the
opportunity to direct them at the International Barbershop Convention in
Pittsburgh. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Jim is senior
vice president of the James B. Oswald Co., one of Ohio’s largest
independent insurance agencies. He is the past chairman of the board of
trustees of Health Hill Hospital, a rehabilitation facility for
children.

Karen A. Harris,
Performing Chorus Administrator, Staff Choreographer, and Tour Manager, has been
involved with The Singing Angels since 1987. Her children Allison
('96), Paul ('98), and Holly ('01) are Angel Alumni. Karen was instrumental in establishing the Rocky River Community Theatre, and served as a producer, properties master, actress, and dancer! She also was involved with the The
Beck Center for the Performing Arts Children's Theater Department. Karen is the Adult Education Coordinator for Rocky
River Schools. |

Kay Eversole, Training Chorus Administrator,
has worked for the Singing Angels Training Chorus since 1983. A native
of Long Island, NY, she holds a B.A. from Adelphi University and an M.A.
from the prestigious Teacher’s College of Columbia University. Kay
formerly taught mathematics in Valley Stream, NY, where she was a board
member of the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State, and
in Euclid, OH, where she was chairman of the math department at Forest
Park Junior High School. She is the treasurer of the Cleveland Area
Chapter of the Pi Lambda Theta education honorary society, and a board
member and past president of the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory
Women’s Committee. Kay began her relationship with the Singing Angels as
a parent in 1978; two sons, Charles ’82 and William ’85, graduated from
the Performing Chorus. |

Allison Harris, Choreographer (alumna),
is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. She is currently a
student at Cuyahoga Community College working on her second career. She will graduate in May with an Associates Degree in Deaf Interpretive Services. Allison has appeared in area
productions at The Beck Center, Cassidy Theater and The Rocky River
Community Theatre. She has choreographed for several theatre
productions, show choirs, and schools throughout the area. She is currently the advisor for the Rocky River High School Dance Team and the choreographer for the Aurora High School show choirs. Allison was
a 10-year member of the Singing Angels and a soloist and dancer. She
has and continues to travel extensively with the group. In her senior year she was the
winner of the Tom Neal Award. |
